The ClamBake Cafe has taken another step in developing its Digital Footprint.  A New landing page was launched today on the ClamBake Cafe Facebook Page.  This is the first of a number of changes IBGS will be making to introduce the ClamBake Cafe to the new golfers coming into the game as well as the business people who are finding out how golf can quickly enhance their business’ development.

Yes, even in a failed economy, one-on-one, face-to-face business relationship building does make a difference in a business person’s success…if not their future.  Playing golf as a form of business networking is still dollar for dollar the very best investment a business or business person can make in retaining customers, developing new business and enhancing employee’s quality work life.  The ClamBake Cafe will be stepping up production of events to be held around the country to do what it can to spur the golf economy, educate the business community on the advantages golf produces the their bottomline and providing access to affordable quality golf training facilities…all in one place in a fun environment conclusive to enjoying life while learning to improve the way business is done.

The ClamBake Cafe will be turning up the burning on business golf social media surrounding business golf events and programs being developed through the IBGS and eGolfGroup partnerships.  The first event is booked for May 13 thru 15th in Sedona, AZ.  If there ever was a Golf Heaven Sedona is when the golf would be played.  Come join the business golfers of the Business Golf Country Club for a few rounds of golf, a lot of business/social networking and great learning experience.

The response to the May 13th thru 15th ClamBake Cafe Stairway to Golf Heaven Golf Outing has been tremendous.  As a result we are getting some real good questions asked.  The answers to these questions may help explain the CBC STGH golf outing better.

1.  What is the ClamBake Cafe?

The ClamBake Cafe is the social media arm of the Business Golf Country Club.  The ClamBake Cafe (CBC) was created to facilitate a balance of online and offline social/business networking amongst the members of the BGCC.  The term ‘Clambake’ is a throw back to the days when people physically gathered together to socialize around an activity like Golf. The ‘Cafe’ term refers to where more and more people go to talk business.  So the concept of the ClamBake Cafe was to gather up people who like to play golf and, if they choose, also talk business.

Since it inception in 2007 the ClamBake Cafe has been held as an online videocast forum for the members of the BGCC to use to introduce themselves to the world.  There have been a few success stories develop from members being interviewed on the ClamBake Cafe.  BGCC member and aspiring PGA Tour golf professional John Raser was interviewed on the CBC an eventually worked his way to appearing on a Callaway commercial featuring him meeting Arnold Palmer.  We hope John will attend the ClamBake Cafe in Sedona.

In 2010, the CBC moved back to its roots as an offline venue for all golfers to attend.  The CBC gatherings feature a multilevel social media with portions of the gathering streamed online and interviews with those who attend the gathering being posted on the CBC site.

The CBC offers attendees discounts on rounds of golf at upscale golf facilities as well as for multi-day golf schools, private receptions, dinners, business golf and other exclusive entertainment opportunities.  The CBC also offers seminars, workshops and lectures on topics related to golf and business.  The CBC shares in the mission of the BGCC and its parent company IBGS , as well as with its partner eGolfGroup , in doing everything it can to.. Put Business Back on Course… the golf Course.

Golf is the main attraction for attending the ClamBake Cafe.  The location also features the venue the CBC is held.  However, there are other activities and functions organized over the three days adding flavor to life. 

For the golfer, the Complete Golf School, taught by Dave Bisbee ,offers a real good affordable reason to get the golf game in shape, or if you don’t play golf, give you a great opportunity to get a good start to learning the game that can lead to business opportunities. 

If you want to get out and play your game with others who attend, there are two rounds of golf included for each attendee to enjoy.

The after golf functions offer an opportunity to network and socialize with likeminded people..make new friends..and business connections.  As the date gets closer for the CBC in May more activities will be added that are business, golf, non-golf and/or non-business related.  These activities and functions will be catered to who registered for the Sedona gathering.

3.  Is There A Business Purpose Associated With the CBC?

Yes.  For those business people interested in a business purpose to attend the CBC there will be a CBC Business School to opted in. The ClamBake Cafe Business School will bring attendees up to date with the latest in business practices, new ways to make the workplace more productive and much more.  More details on the CBC Business School add-on will be published soon.

4.  When Is The Next ClamBake Cafe?

The next ClamBake Cafe is being worked on now.  Over the next few weeks we will be gathering input from those attending the CBC in Sedona of locations of interest.  The plan right now is to produce a ClamBake Cafe at least twice a year at different locations around the country.  Where the ClamBake Cafe next location will be is influenced by those who attend the Sedona gathering.  When you register for the CBC in Sedona you will be put on the mailing list for announcements of the next ClamBake Cafe.

5.  Are There Sponsorship Opportunities?
